Here’s a recipe for sweet balsamic-marinated steaks:

Ingredients

  • 500 grams of steak (ribeye or strip loin)
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
  • Salt and black pepper

Method

  1. In a bowl, mix the balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, soy sauce (if using), garlic, and thyme.
  2. Place the steaks in a plastic bag or bowl and add the marinade. Let them marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Preheat the grill or skillet over high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade and cook for 4-6 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  4. Serve the steaks with a reduced balsamic sauce (you can reduce the balsamic vinegar over heat until it thickens).
