Ingredients:
- 12-ounce loaf of French bread
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 12 slices of mozzarella or provolone cheese, or 2 cups shredded cheese
- 12 slices pepperoni, cut into quarters (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (if required).
- Prepare the Bread: Slice the French bread loaf in half lengthwise to make two long pieces, then cut each piece in half to yield four pieces total.
- Season: In a small bowl, mix olive oil, oregano, and garlic powder. Using a pastry brush, coat the cut side of each bread piece evenly with the mixture.
4. Toast the Bread: Place the bread pieces in the air fryer basket or tray. Cook at 370°F for 3 minutes to lightly toast the bread.
5. Assemble the Pizza: Remove the bread from the air fryer. Spread pizza sauce evenly on each piece, then top with cheese slices. Add pepperoni or any other preferred toppings.
6. Cook the Pizza: Place the assembled pizzas back in the air fryer and cook at 370°F for 5-6 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Cool and Serve: Let the pizzas cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Storage: Allow any leftover French Bread Pizza to cool to room temperature before storing in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. To reheat, air fry at 370°F for 3-4 minutes or until warmed through.
