Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
PREPARATION:
Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare your baking pans by greasing and flouring a 9×13-inch pan or two 8-inch round pans.
Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, making sure each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
