CREAMY PEPPER JACK CHICKEN & SAUSAGE PASTA WITH CREAMY CHEESE SAUCE

INGREDIENTS:

1 lb halal chicken sausage, sliced
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
12 oz rotini or penne pasta
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/2 cups shredded Pepper Jack cheese

INSTRUCTIONS:

STEP 1: COOK THE PASTA
Boil pasta according to package directions in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.

STEP 2: COOK THE MEATS
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the sliced chicken sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add diced chicken breasts. Cook until golden and fully cooked through.

STEP 3: BUILD THE SAUCE
Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, then add in the shredded Pepper Jack cheese. Stir continuously until cheese is melted and sauce is creamy.

STEP 4: COMBINE
Add the cooked pasta and sausage back into the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated in the creamy cheesy sauce.

STEP 5: SERVE
Serve hot, garnished with fresh chopped parsley or a sprinkle of extra cheese if desired.
