Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ cups long grain white rice
- 3 cups beef broth (or water)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for spice)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp oil or butter
- Green onions for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Stir in diced onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook until veggies are softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add rice, paprika, oregano, thyme, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat everything.
- Pour in beef broth. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.
- Fluff with a fork. Garnish with chopped green onions if you like.
Note:
Feel free to spice it up! 🌶️ Add sausage, chicken livers, or extra cayenne if you like it more traditional and bold. Adjust the seasoning to make it as mild or as spicy as you want! 🍴
