Salted Caramel Bites

These Salted Caramel Bites are a quick and easy snack that’s dangerously addictive. Perfectly coated oyster crackers are baked in a rich, buttery caramel and finished with a sprinkle of kosher salt. The result? A crunchy, sweet-and-salty treat that’s perfect for parties, movie nights, or edible gifting!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups oyster crackers
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla paste or extract
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, and lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  3. Spread the oyster crackers in an even layer across the baking sheet.
  4. In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and vanilla. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  5. Increase the heat and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Stir continuously for 3–4 minutes until it’s bubbly and lighter in color.
  6. Immediately pour the caramel over the crackers and gently toss with a rubber spatula to coat evenly.
  7. Sprinkle kosher salt over the top of the coated crackers.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes, keeping a close eye to avoid burning.
  9. Let cool completely before breaking into clusters and serving or storing.

  • Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate for an extra indulgent treat.
