Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

°1 x 9-inch uncooked pie crust
°1 cup light corn syrup
°1/2 cup granulated sugar
°3 eggs
°2 tablespoons melted butter
°1 teaspoon vanilla extract
°1 cup pecan halves
°Optional: Whipped cream or ice cream to serve

EAT VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP

PREPARATION:

Preheat oven 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter and vanilla extract.
Stir in pecan halves until well blended.
Pour the mixture into the uncooked pie crust.
Place the pie on a baking sheet and bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
Removing from oven and let cool.
Serve the pie cold or at room temperature, topped with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
