Tropical Banana Pineappel Delight

Ingredients:

3 ripe bananas, sliced

1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained

1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

1 cup cold milk

1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut (optional)

Whipped cream or whipped topping, for serving

Maraschino cherries, for garnish (optional)

PREPARATION:

Prepare Ingredients: Slice the ripe bananas and drain the crushed pineapple well, pressing out excess liquid.

Make Pudding Mixture: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened.

Add Sour Cream and Vanilla: Stir in the sour cream (or Greek yogurt) and vanilla extract until well combined.

Assemble Dessert: In a large serving bowl or dish, layer half of the sliced bananas and crushed pineapple. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the fruit.

Repeat Layers: Repeat the layering process with the remaining bananas, pineapple, and pudding mixture.

Top with Coconut (Optional): If desired, sprinkle sweetened shredded coconut over the top of the dessert for added flavor and texture.

Chill: Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours, or until chilled and set.

Serve: Before serving, garnish with dollops of whipped cream or whipped topping. You can also add maraschino cherries on top for a decorative touch.
